Nodearr

Your friends' libraries, in your Arr apps. Share media with people you trust, and let your existing apps find and import it directly from their machines.

When your Sonarr wants an episode a friend has, it finds it in Nodearr, grabs it, and imports it like any other download. The file comes straight from your friend’s machine to yours, and is checked against its hash before your Arr app sees it.

Each person runs Nodearr on their own machine, chooses what to share and can revoke trust at any time. You do not need a Nodearr account, and the project receives no copy of your library. Public relays help nodes connect, but downloaded media travels directly between friends. See Privacy and security for what friends and relay operators can see.

Nothing new to learn in your Arr apps

Nodearr adds itself to each one as an indexer and a download client. Their searches, grabs, quality profiles, upgrades and imports work as they always have.

Friends by invite

One friend creates an invite code, the other pastes it in, and the two nodes trust each other. Revoke a friend at any time.

Share what you choose

A new friend receives files from apps with Share With New Friends enabled, except titles on Hidden. Both Whisparr versions are excluded by default. Choose apps for each friend, or share only selected titles through lists.

Browse what friends have

Browse posters from your friends’ Arr apps and see which files you are missing or could upgrade under your own quality profiles.

Send a friend something

Pick a title and a friend. They receive a card on Home, where Get it adds the title to their Arr app if needed and asks the app to search its enabled indexers.

Straight between you, and checked

Connections are encrypted, and files go directly between the two machines, through most home routers without forwarding a port.

App What Nodearr does with it
Sonarr Shares whole series, seasons or single episodes. Finds episodes by TVDB, TMDb or IMDb ID, by scene numbering, and by air date for daily shows.
Radarr Finds movies by TMDb or IMDb ID.
Lidarr Shares whole artists or single albums, and moves an album as a folder of tracks.
Whisparr v3 Reads films and scenes. Finds films by ID and scenes by studio, release date, title or code.
Whisparr v2 Reads sites and scenes. Finds scenes by studio, release date, title or code, including scenes shared by v3 users.
Prowlarr Adds Nodearr as an indexer, so you can search it there with your others.

It runs where your Arr apps run: Windows, Linux, macOS, and Docker for amd64 and arm64. Most of it is built from Sonarr, so it looks and works the way you expect.

Nodearr is open source, under GPL-3.0, and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Sonarr, Radarr, Lidarr, Whisparr, Prowlarr or Servarr projects.
